I’ve always had a messy style. I could make my paintings neater and more realistic, but something about imperfect brushstrokes and paint drips speaks to me more. Maybe it’s because I see myself in them—some strokes look on track, but most are not. They’re unpredictable, layered, and imperfect, yet somehow, when they come together, they create something whole.
I think that’s how the Lord sees me. I have more messy moments in a day than I can count, but He is shaping me into something that has always been a part of His plan. When I see adversity, He sees opportunity. When I feel out of control, He is behind it all—directing the brush, shaping me stroke by stroke into His creation. It’s never about me, the paint, but always about the Painter—loving, sovereign, and full of grace. For it is through God and God alone that anything good comes from me.
Thank you for the opportunity to share the joy of Christ through my art,
